I’m surprised at how much of a sell out I already am after less than a day. but anyway let’s get right into this.
1. How many cups of tea do you have a day? and how many sugars do you have?
I don’t necessarily drink tea, maybe one cup a week, I’m more of a coffee type of person. I drink more coffee than anyone I know, I must be a Seattleite at heart (actually a place in america i would like to visit). I have two sugars in my tea.
2. What is your favourite part of a roast dinner?
The type of roast can depend on what my favourite part is. if its a bird roast (i.e. Chicken, turkey, duck) my favourite part is usually the stuffing, I like it because its a peculiar taste that is very moreish to me. In a pork roast it’s the crackling, especially when it still has bits of fat still clinging to it. if it’s beef it would have to be cauliflower cheese. But my all time favourite for Christmas dinner would be bacon and Brussels sprouts because they are only a thing my family have in the winter months which upsets me.
3. Favourite dunking biscuits?
1 word, BOURBONS!
4. Favourite Quintessential British pass time?
Complaining in the weather. but because I’m a child of the internet age i don’t go outside.
5. Favourite word?
Shite, because it has many contexts and is a great insult. (i.e. you Shite. You little Shitehawk)
6. Cockney rhyming slang?
As a child of the south, it common for my family to use it but I don’t because I’m to ignorant to understand it.
7. Favourite sweet?
Probably has to be Parma Violets as they have a nice sweet smell. It doesn’t really taste of much its basically chalk and food colouring, but they are really addictive. Also i bought my sister a Parma Violets candle from Lily Flame (not sponsored). and it is really strong but not overpowering smell and the candle burns slowly and is worth the price. Also you get a free storage tin once it has been used.
8. What would your pub be called?
I have no clue why it seems there are 4 pubs for every human in the UK. But if I was to own a pub I would name it ‘The Queens Legs’, after a joke I heard from someone when I was 10. and the punch line of the joke is ‘we’re waiting for the queens legs to open so we can go inside.’ I hope this doesn’t count as Lèse-majesté.
9. No.1 British person?
If we are talking about celebrities a few of them died this year. I loved David Bowie’s music ever since I watched the film Labyrinth the first time. I was mesmerised by him and his androgynous look. But then he passed early on this year, and lady gaga’s tribute to him was beautiful and well done, and celebrated his life instead of just boosting her career.
To find out Pete Burns had died as well was the knock out blow to me this year and now i fear for any other celebrities I adore. at this moment it would be any of the Osbourne family as they are so funny and entertaining on top of what they do for the LGBT community makes them deemed incredible people by me.
10. Favourite shop/Restaurant?
I feel it would be the obvious answer to say Sainsbury’s because i work there. but for me it’s my favourite shop because there is everything i need and if i was in a zombie apocalypse i could survive at least a few months in Sainsbury’s.
My favourite restaurant is probably Pizza Express because the pizza’s are amazing and because there deserts are to die for.
11. What British song pops into your head?
Wannabe by the Spice Girls. only because I have a custom Guitar Hero song chart done of that song. this is quite amusing as I am listening to DragonForce (a British Metal Band) as I’m Writing this answer out
I used to be a fan but as i hit puberty it began tasting really bitter and extra salty. they might have changed the recipe in that time, who knows.
Thank you if you read this the whole way through. I hope you enjoy your day.
What can the England of 1940 have in common with the England of 1840? But then, what have you in common with the child of five whose photograph your mother keeps on the mantelpiece? Nothing, except that you happen to be the same person.
